Dang, BERT...sorry for your mishap. Maybe Marshall's FORD contact can hook you up with a new shaft. Or junk yards (lots near where bgstew6 lives). Good luck!

Her in Dallas I always use Driveshaft King, one of the best in the country, they do remans and custom work, I know they ship but Im not sure how quick you need it, their number is 214 941 7122.
Dont need to worry about a "used" part or pay dealer prices.

you have traction bars? and how much are you lowered?

time to get a DS loop too while you're putting the new shaft in, help keep anything else from getting damaged incase it would ever snap again

Did you fix the springs? You know those joints were taco from that sick hop you had. Plus you have over 100K on that drive train and just added 100hp and 22" rims and now your racing. Ahhh Youth.

Also check the Rear end it self, we had a guy launch really hard, broke the D/s and then put another in , come to find out the gear broke all apart and come through the housing.

Those 22inch wheel don't help. I don't trust out two piece DS. It seems a little too week to put down some responsable power. Does anybody makes a one piece ds for our trucks?

Help me with some logic here...with the 2 piece DS wouldn't it seem logical that the torque would be spread out over 4 connections (stronger), vice 2 connections with a single piece longer (weaker) drive shaft? And wouldn't the single piece DS have alot more room for caviation/flexing because of the length??

The joints will recieve the same wear no matter how many there are, but there is more chance of flex and warpage with a one piece and it will be more noticable when it happens, plus they are harder to keep balanced.
A 2 piece is done for less noise, vibraton, and a generral smoother drive/ride on a long wheel base vehicle like ours.
If GM, Ford, Chrysler could get away with a (cheaper!) one piece driveshaft you can believe we would have one stock!

00-01's as stew said are one piece, as well as aluminum
02-03's two piece and steel. i only know of one person so far who's broken the 2 piece, and he had a leaf removed for his rear drop and no traction bars. with the leaf removed axle wrap is increased on launch when there's no traction bars to eliminate it. I'm not sure if he had slicks or not when it broke. cant think of his name, blanking out at the moment

and the 2 piece is stronger than you guys may think. one being steel, and two being its from the superduty. if it can handle 570 foot lbs of torque and pull 15,000 lbs etc. in a superduty, it can handle what a semi-modded HD is gonna throw at it.

aluminum saves hp since its lighter, but the 2 piece helps eliminate vibration in such a long driveshaft, and if the 02-03's came with the one piece aluminum that the 00-01's came with, you'd see a lot more broken shafts on the 02-03's
