nah, the 85 got a BIG present last year. lol....Holly Pro-Jection Electronic Fuel Injection System. runs a million times better than the crappy stock 2 barrel carb

started painting the engine bay tonight, and everything went fine, except on the last coat of clear the nozzle was messed up and now its all splotchy gotta wetsand it all down tomorrow and start over again

Before...YUCK that looks ugly! lol, and thats even after i cleaned down all the panels!

masked and 1st coat of primer

black sorry for the blurry pic. was dark up at the shop when i did the clear coating. i'll get a better pic after i wet sand it all down and reshoot a layer of black and reclear it so it turns out better, and hopefully the clear wont fubar up again

    thanks!!!

all that new shiney black should go nicely with the sonic blue blower

once the paint is done, i'll finish stripping the crap stock underocating off the front end frame rails and re-undercoat them

did a little more painting with the down time...

stock idlers & water pump pulley

i know most of the paint is going to wear right off the sides with belt contact, but for the time being it looks a lot nicer than fugly black. stock idlers suck anyhow, already been through 2 stock idler pulleys on my N/A before the bearings start to squeal, so next year sometime i'll order the full billetflow set of blue anodized idlers, and get the water pump pulley powdercoated at the same time...but for now...

paint didnt want to sit right on one spot on the TB, so had to sand it down and restart today. should have pics of that, fully ported and polished and painted by tonight

i'm not sure. Ask ACWalsh....i'm not sure if he put them on there, or if Steig put them on with the port. they do look nice though!

i'd like to find 2 more, because for some reason the 2 bolts under the snout are just plain old stock bolts they cant really be seen, but it still bugs me they dont match the rest.

and no KB for me. heard of too many locking up, and seen a few do it at the track, just not going that extreme with the truck to that point (yeah right ) eventually i might get a MP setup if i stumble across a killer price, or might go for the whipple of they ever decide to come out, but then it totally changes the intake setup, etc. N/A to ported eaton should keep me happy for a few more years to come
