Followed directions, used the right tools for the right job, read the directions three times, UNDERSTOOD the instructions... and bada bing .
Thanks to the guys on the F-150 online web site for the use of their threads. The beast roars. It was at .82 v now .97 v. When I had my 5.0 stang I bought this TPS adjustor (still have it) that has plugs on it and a digital read out. I would love to adapt this to the truck. Does anyone have a set of plugs (matching the TPS hook up)? Be glad to pay. Thanks, T ![]()

I agree if someone made an interface connector it would sell like hot cakes...when I did mine I kept dropping the pins down through the engine...
good job on getting it set.. |

tried to adjust mine today on my N/A 5.4.....i dont know if it was my multimeter that was fuggered up, but i was getting like 1.27 volts with the thing rotated all the way down....then 1.38 rotated all the way up
i couldnt get it down to .999gonna try to borrow a buddies multi meter and try again. its a real PITA on the N/A motor to get to it. gotta yank the TB cover off, take the intake off, take some PVC tubes off, take another little thing off with 2 little PITA nuts, then can finally get to it ![]() |

Just FYI,
If you have a predator then you dont need pins or any special connector or volt meter. Just plug predator in, TUrn key to on but dont start it Select Diagnostics The scroll down and select Gas Trans or Gas Speed (cant remember) then selelct Choose From List Scroll down and select TP V Then select Fast Rate Then Select NO for Datalog You will then see the TP V You have enough cable on the predator to make it out of the CAB and into the Engine Bay so that you can look at it and adjust the TPS to .99. Doing to much work man! Took me 5 min to do the expy (no TB Cover) and 5 miinutes to do 2cool's 01 with a cover over the TB. Right angle Philips is your friend! All ya got to do is take the cover off and use that bad boy to lossen the lower screw a little and then the top a little. If you cant get the adjustment you need then you can always hog out the upper hole a little bit to give you the extra adjustment that you need. If you need to call me for some pointers just give me a ring anytime man. Let me know and I will pm you my number. Stew |

it adjusts your throttle position sensor to the optimal reading. its not necessarily something that you've done incorrectly, but something that doesnt come exactly at 0.999 from the factory

Mine is at 1.2v, checked it today with the predator (thanks Stew). Have to get it adjusted. What kind of effect would this have being out of adjustment like that? Should it respond better or should the throttle open up farther when it is adjusted properly? Just curious. Thanks.
